I collaborate with library training organizations around the country. Here is a current list with brief descriptions and web sites, followed by upcoming programs for libraries and a brief history of library-related workshops. These programs are unique versions of my workshops, custom-designed for these organizations and their audiences.
Please note that I am pretty well booked up for presentations and consulting projects through February of 2008. Please let me know if you want to be put on a waiting list in case of cancellations. I am booking for 2009 and would be happy to talk with you about future projects.

Partnership to Promote Greater Accessibility to Library Education
Since the summer of 2007 I have been collaborating with the Lifelong Education @ Desktop (LE@D) program http://www.leadonline.info, a continuing education community service of the University of North Texas. Now, my clients will have access to my material before, during, after and even instead of my live workshops. We plan to transform 28 of my programs in the coming months into anytime, anywhere, everywhere web-based classes. These classes are approved for certification under the Western Council of State Libraries.
Five of my workshops are immediately available.
- Ethical Standards for Leadership
- Ethics in the Real World: Library Case Studies
- Improving Co-Worker Relations
- Influence, Even When You Don't Have Power or Authority
- Leadership in Libraries: Becoming An Everyday Leader
In addition to providing content for classes as a subject matter expert, I also will be supporting marketing efforts as the library relations associate. I am pleased to be able to spread the word about LE@D. The LE@D team provides inexpensive, appealing and effective online education for library and school leadership, managers and staff, as well as professionals and associates in business, rehabilitation and volunteer management.
Why did I join the LE@D team?
- Years of established success within library workplaces.
- Consistent and affordable staff development for larger libraries and library agencies.
- Contemporary and appealing production values.
- Commitment to small, rural and under-served libraries with limited resources.
- Collaboration with other library and educational institutions.
- Interactive teaching environment with rich arrays of models and resources.
- Certification partnerships with state, regional and national associations.
Hope to see you online soon.
